Who we are

Floodtide Design is an independent graphic design studio based in South Australia. This policy explains how we handle information provided through our website and when you contact us about design work.

For any privacy question, email hello@floodtidedesign.com.

Information we receive

When you contact us: if you send an email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, business details, project brief, phone number or attachments.

When you visit: our website hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of a request. This is part of delivering and protecting the website.

There is no account registration or contact form on this website. Enquiries are made through your own email application.

How we use it

We use enquiry and client information to respond to messages, discuss and quote for work, deliver agreed services, maintain relevant business records, and meet any legal obligations that apply. We do not sell your personal information.

We only ask for information that is relevant to the conversation or work. Please avoid emailing sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and we have agreed on an appropriate way to receive it.

Other services involved

Like most websites, Floodtide relies on other services to operate. These can include:

  • Website hosting and security providers to deliver pages and manage routine server and security information.
  • Adobe Fonts to load the typefaces used on this website. Your browser contacts Adobe to request those font styles, which may expose technical connection information to Adobe.
  • Email services to send and receive the messages you choose to email us.
  • Google Drive, through our company account, to store and work with client correspondence, project materials and other business records. Google may process or store information using infrastructure outside Australia.

Some providers may process information outside Australia. Their handling of data is also governed by their own privacy practices.

Links to external websites are subject to those websites’ own privacy policies.

Cookies, analytics & preferences

We do not currently use advertising pixels, marketing cookies or third-party analytics scripts on this website. There is no advertising-tracking consent banner because those trackers have not been added.

The Motion On/Off control saves your preference in your browser’s local storage. This is a small setting kept on your device; it is not used by Floodtide to identify you or follow you across websites. You can clear it by removing this website’s stored data in your browser.

Hosting or security services may use technical data or strictly necessary cookies to operate and protect the site. We will update this policy and review consent requirements before introducing optional analytics or advertising technologies.

Storage & security

Where information is kept: Client communications, briefs, project files and related business information are primarily stored in Floodtide Design’s company Google Drive. Some files may also be downloaded or saved as working copies on business or personally owned computers used for Floodtide Design work.

Protecting information: We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including when using cloud services and local devices. No online service or computer can be guaranteed completely secure.

How long we keep it: We retain correspondence and project information while it is reasonably needed for our work, business records or applicable legal requirements. We make efforts to remove local downloads and other copies when they are no longer needed, but this is not done to a fixed schedule and a copy may sometimes remain unintentionally. We cannot guarantee that every temporary or downloaded copy is deleted immediately.

If you ask us to access, correct or delete information, we will consider the relevant cloud records and local working copies, subject to any applicable record-keeping requirements.

Your choices

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we no longer need to retain. Email hello@floodtidedesign.com and we’ll review your request, subject to any applicable legal or record-keeping requirements.

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can look into it. Depending on the circumstances and the laws that apply, you may also be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner .

Changes & contact

We may update this policy when our services, website technology or legal obligations change. The date at the top will show when it was last revised.
